The London Stock Exchange migrates Linux

The London Stock Exchange (LSE), one of the largest in the world (founded en1801), is about to enter a transitional period of twelve months to develop a new Linux platform.

This system replacing TradElect based architecture. NET Windows Update yet two years ago by Accenture for the sum of 40million pounds.

The old system was suffering from difficulty in real-time data, the stock market in three months recorded a significant loss of profit of around 9% while the IT group showed an increase of 3% to $ 55 million pounds in the sale of such data in real time.

The system in place to also meet as a result of technical problems in the past, embarrassing the London Stock Exchange.

The scholarship should develop a more reliable and more flexible with this new solution.

No need to be a financial expert to suspect that the economic challenges of a scholarship in general and to particular change are enormous. Although it is likely that this change will never be known to the general public, but it will be known to other scholarships and certainly of great enterprises.

The important this is to see (and certainly less than other alerts can see) that Linux can be a very serious solution in large projects and sensitive.
